Halsey & International Women's Day

I know I already posted this week, but my fiancee and I were listening to Halsey's new album Manic and I brought up Vivienne's International Women's Day post, to which my fiancee asked if I had ever seen Halsey's Women's March speech in 2018. I had in 2018, but I have a bad memory and that was a hot minute ago. We re-watched it, and I immediately grabbed my laptop to post it on the blog.

*Trigger Warning: This speech mentions sexual assault, rape, and miscarriages. Please watch cautiously.*

  1. I like being the only guy in this class because all of you treat me like I'm different, special, or valuable because I sit and I listen to all the pain and struggle men have caused all of you. But I shouldn't be special, I'm just here and I agree with all of you that your voices should be heard. I hate being the only guy in the class because at first I couldn't feel where I fit into this movement or if I'd be accepted. I hate that I'm the only guy learning these lessons. I'm the only guy forced to listen to what women have to say behind closed doors. But I love what I've learned and I'll put it to good use. Happy International Women's Day!

  2. I was immediately drawn to this post because I LOVE HALSEY! And her new album which I've had on repeat in my car for too many weeks at this point. If I could guarantee her tour wasn't going to be cancelled I would've already bought tickets but alas I cannot. I rallied behind this speech the first time around and connected with it even more the second time. Also, you have a great taste in music.
